Non-methane volatile organic compounds emitted from domestic fuels in Delhi: Emission factors and total city-wide emissions

چکیده
In controlled laboratory conditions, 62 samples of domestic fuels collected from 56 grids Delhi were burnt to quantify the emissions 23 non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs), i.e., alkanes (11), alkenes (6), alkynes (1) and aromatic (5). The used for residential activities comprised 20 unique types fuel woods, 3 species crop residue, dung cakes coal. These are primarily cooking water/space heating during winters. current study reports total emission budget NMVOCs burning over Delhi. Furthermore, this also compares differences in EFs which calculated different cycles sample collection methods. flaming stage using canisters analysed then compared with same emitted complete cycle. addition this, 10 consumption hotspot identified Delhi; based on ground survey simulated results. annual usage year 2019 was found be 0.415 Mt/yr (million tonnes) 12.01 Gg/yr NMVOC cake wood dominated 6.6 5.4 Gg/yr, respectively. canister online method differ significantly each other. presented enhanced cycle by ~7 times suggests that data analysis period play a pivotal role preparation an inventory estimating budget. • Emission factor •Comparison two stages •City wise •Different hotspots Delhi, India

متن کاملMapping Asian anthropogenic emissions of non-methane volatile organic compounds to multiple chemical mechanisms
An accurate speciation mapping of non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC) emissions has an important impact on the performance of chemical transport models (CTMs) in simulating ozone mixing ratios and secondary organic aerosols. Taking the INTEX-B Asian NMVOC emission inventory as the case, we developed an improved speciation framework to generate model-ready anthropogenic NMVOC emission...

متن کاملEstimating the biogenic emissions of non-methane volatile organic compounds from the North Western Mediterranean vegetation of Catalonia, Spain.
An estimation of the magnitude of non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) emitted by vegetation in Catalonia (NE of the Iberian Peninsula, Spain), in addition to their superficial and temporal distribution, is presented for policy and scientific (photochemical modelling) purposes. It was developed for the year 2000, for different time resolutions (hourly, daily, monthly and annual) and ...
متن کاملModeling Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds from New Carpets
A simple model is proposed to account for observed emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from new carpets. The model assumes that the VOCs originate predominantly in a uniform slab of polymer backing material. Parameters for the model (the initial concentration of a VOC in the polymer, a diffusion coefficient and an equilibrium polymer/air partition coefficient) are obtained from exper...
